One of the biggest concerns when dealing with damages to your home or business is, "Will my insurance cover this?" If you are unsure of your coverage or deductible, feel free to call your insurance provider. To find their number simply go to Google, (insurance name) claim phone number. If you cannot find a number for claims, call the customer service number and they will provide you with a number to call. For some insurance providers you have the option of opening a claim online. Wondering why the customer's claim was denied, our office staff contacted the customer, only to find out that the customer recently had fixed a roof leak and this was the cause of the mold growth. After our office staff talked to the adjuster and explained where and what caused the mold, the insurance ended up covering 80 percent of the mitigation work. Which obviously made our customer happy that she wasn't going to have to pay the whole cost out of pocket.
Dealing with insurance adjusters can be difficult because it is their job to protect their company from insurance fraud and not approve fraudulent insurance claims.
