Here at SERVPRO of North Sacramento, we have many job openings and plenty of opportunities to move up in the industry. We are looking for people with good attitudes, that work hard, and are willing to work in teams. The positions we are wanting to fill are production technicians, crew chiefs, and administrators.
As a production technician you will work in small teams under the supervision of a crew chief. You will be required to do various tasks such as demolition, mitigation, and restoration. Experience is not necessary for a production technician, but any type of construction, mitigation, or restoration history is always welcomed. SERVPRO provides all the training you will need to learn about restoration and mitigation from their online university. At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate in water and fire restoration. Some of the tasks you will need to perform include setting up and placing drying equipment. As a technician, you will also be doing jobs that require water extraction, deodorizing, or disinfecting material from water, fire or mold damage. When demolition is needed, it can range from dropping ceilings and knocking down walls to a simple task of pulling baseboards and cutting small sections of drywall.
As a crew chief, you will be a supervisor for your team of technicians. Being a crew chief means being able to do the same work as a technician, along with more responsibilities. These responsibilities include documenting the job, managing the work site and your team, and having good people skills. Documenting the job includes taking pictures of any pre-existing damages, before and after pictures of the demolition. You will also need to fill out daily job dairies and enter all the data into a mobile application we use on site. You will be required to have knowledge of water and fire restoration. Just like technicians, SERVPRO provides online training classes for crew chiefs as well.
For the administrator position you will be the office job file coordinator. Working in the office you will have different responsibilities than a technician or a crew chief, but part of your job will be to interact and coordinate with the production team and customers about jobs. Some of the responsibilities of the job file coordinator include monitoring jobs statuses, ensure customers requirements are followed, and daily job file coordination. Another responsibility is to be able to complete and review job documentation for final upload and complete audit process. SERVPRO of North Sacramento is looking for people with good attitude and people skills who can talk on the phone with customers and coworkers. You should have analytical skills, and be able to multi-task but at the same time be detail-oriented. SERVPRO of North Sacramento's ideal candidate would be one who is self-motivated, experienced, and someone who enjoys providing a high quality service. Some of the position's requirements are two years of administrative or related office work, excellent writing, verbal communication, and have a professional tone of voice at all times.
